Another p80mp problem

k probably a couple of weeks ago my eject button wasnt working..but now thats all fixed...but i hvae a more messed up problem..when i press eject the screen of the face turns off but u can still hear the radio or whatever...but no buttons are working either...neone had this problem...

I think your model may be slightly different. If your model has detachable face, make sure where the face meets the rest of the unit is clean. My face sometimes blinks on and off, yet the music continues to play. Clean it off with alcohol (rubbing, not drinking) on a q-tip and it usually goes away for a while.

well i returned it in to bestbuy already for repair...im thinking of giving that hu to my bro...and get a cheaper alpine deck..like the 9845 or the 9847....i want sumthin simple...thatll do the work...

I am not the most knowledgeable person on the forum...I just completed my first 2 amp setup.

I don't know which model #'s but some can control the amps via the HU. Could really come in handy if your amps are mounted in a tight spot, plus you can tune in a position that you are in, not moving from installation point to driving point. Their faces look pretty simple so maybe avg. thieves think they are junk whereas some more flashy units may be more likely to get stolen. That is about all I know about the alpine though.
