Android or Apple?

Android if you like having options, modern technology, and competitive pricing.iPhone if you like having everything done and chosen for you (others call this reliability), old hardware (512mb of internal ram and no 4g on your 3 month old phone?), and terrible pricing.
iPhone 4s has 4g.

I'm with you deez. I tried a Droid for a week when I had a chance to upgrade my phone. I took that **** back and got my 4s and I don't think I'll use an android phone again. I could care less about the mods and supposedly open software. For what I use my phone for it works perfect.

Every Android phone on sprint is 50-100-200 dollars cheaper than the iphone. The hardware is outdated when they drop it and all they have to do is stick an S or up the number on the end for everyone to drop 300 on a new one.

I had the original iphone for a long time and the 3g for a bit as well. I was one of the first to have one. At that time Android wasnt in existence and when it was, there wasnt much to it. I kept the apple because it does work well and I could con my way through 55 bucks a month ultd data on Tmobile haha.

I made the switch to the HTC Hero and it was a good phone but the battery ****** and as updates came along it bogged down. Not to my surprise, so did my friends 3gS (the S is for speed luls). As far as speed goes a 4S and most dual core android phones go, you wont notice much difference. Down the road you probably will as the 4S is dual 800mhz and most android phones are 1.2 or 1.5 and with the option to root quite easily, you can overclock etc. iPhone works great, but is a bit of a sandbox and a gimmick (lol Siri, android has built in voice recognition throughout the OS. ) Android has always had a notification bar, and within it you can do a lot more. Android is open source and that means anyone can tweak it and make it better. Each company tweaks the OS differently and some have features that you wont find elsewhere. HTCs Sense UI or Samsungs Touchwiz. Even without rooting your Android phone, you can have third party text apps, music players etc. The Notification pulldown bar also gives more options and freedoms, I can turn on and off different radios, clear ram, change songs, change volume, change brightness etc. Android also has the ability to let you share just about anything. Install an imgur or facebook app and in the share menu for a photo or video or url you will find the ability to upload directly to that service or app. Android also has the ability to do true multi tasking which iOS still does not. This contributes to shorter battery life sometimes, but if you use your phone a lot it comes in handy (you can also turn off a lot of these settings) Also removable battery/extended life battery, external device support, expandable memory, and not being tied to itunes/icloud bs are all nice. And you dont have to go through all sorts of BS if you like your own ringtones. Having widgets mingling with apps is also pretty nice to have. Having 3rd party browsers like Dolphin HD and Firefox really opens up your freedoms as well.

Come on, really? If I was 12 years old maybe I would care about that. Why on earth would you need third party text apps or an additional music player? The stock music player on my i4/sg2 does fine.. it plays music.

Dont get all mad bruh, this is the internet. It's called freedom. Why would I ever want to tarbo my car? Why would I ever want to put an aftermarket stereo in my car? What are you 12?

I've had real world experience with both my iphone 4 and samsung galaxy s2.
I am slightly biased towards iphone since I had every one since the original iphone (kept upgrading every year or two) so I am used to the OS.

But after switching to a galaxy s2 (im a huge fan of samsung products) even though it's a beautiful peice of equipment I still gotta say the iphone comes first.. its just smoother. Everything about it just works flawlessly.

The samsung is lighter, bigger and tech spec wise "faster" (I notice zero difference in speed on internet or just messing with the devices) but the iphone is just way more reliable.

Currently I own both but my simcard is usually in my i4
I didn't reasd everyone else's response, but this just about sums it up.

I've been an iPhone user for ~ 8 years and I recently went to an Android (Nexus). It's an awesome phone... for someone else. The iPhone is just seamless. Battery life on the Nexus was absolutley unacceptable. You'd have to be tethered to a charger or you're **** out of luck for battery. And it's too **** big. For me anyway. I like that I can operate the iPhone with one hand.

I went right back to the iPhone after a week with the biggest, baddest, newest android. The way everybody talks about them, I was expecting to be blown away. I wasn't.

IDK, I just cant get over how small the screen is on the iPhone. I browse the web a lot on my phone and I have a hard enough time squinting to see the screen on my Incredible 2. I want a new phone because it's become "unstable" as in crashes out of apps and has jittery movement like it's always trying to catch up.

bra bra, i didnt get mad, im never mad, i just type mad.

Thats fine in fact I am grateful people are so loyal to droids so that iphone has something to compete against. No competition is never fun.

Pretty much sums up my story as well.. Luckily I am financially able to keep both phones and use both when I want to, but if I had to give one up the android would be the first to go no doubt.

I really do like apples products EXCEPT for their computers. Can't stand their PC operating systems, they however do design them beautifully. My dad runs dualboot on all his mac products and runs windows 7 on them.. Still too spendy for me though.

And like I said, i LOVE samsung products. Samsung is one of my favorite companies out there.

Thats fair, the screen could be bigger. I dont think I have ever once had a single crash from any of my iphones, and it is so smooth and fluid with the way you do normal stuff (browsing menus, adding contacts, etc) that I cant deal with the droid - if i never had an iphone I may not notice these things, but I see you do notice them..

ONE thing I like about android their NAVIGATION software is WAY far superior over apples. I dont know if its the GPS antenna being better or the actual software but i LOVE my galaxys navigation/maps. The iphone navi works but its meh.. its very buggy, showing you in the wrong place, not being "real time"

Ill disagree on the PC thing. I think their hardware is wonderful for the price. Not the internals so much (Though the Air is mostly custom and halls azz.), but the solid aluminum body and the often glass protected screens and magnetic charger. Fav is probably the multitouch trackpad. If it wasnt for the alum body and trackpad I wouldnt buy them, though the OS and the trackpad go hand in hand. Only thing I really dont care for with the OS is the fact that you cant snap windows like in Win 7. I can take or leave their OS for the most part. If it gets me to the internet/writes papers/ can run remote access protocols I am good.

also.

I dont personally notice any issues with my phone unless I installed a sketchy rom. The iphone isnt a bad phone, but I wouldnt call it the smartest of phones either. It depends if youre a geek and you want the most of the experience or if you just want it to do what it do .

i went through 3 android phones in 10 day period. samsung galaxy s2/skyrocket/and HTC vivid. they all ****. bad battery life.back with apple iphone 4s.
Another case of a fellow iphone user looking for something better.. I think we can all agree iphones arent perfect, and can be better, but when we finally try something else we just cant stand it.

Im curious though, what do you iphone users who tried droids think about my navigation comment above? Agree?

I totally agree, the iPhone isnt the smartest phone out there.. hence the reason all us iphone users come to android looking for better, but go back to iphone until something better can please us.

I'd rather have the ASUS zenbook.. again, I have used both heavily (dad has air and buddy has zenbook)

Like I said..apple makes sweet products but the cost > performance ratio is way too much for me.. I have a gaming computer, I have been building computers myself since I was 13 so again I suppose I am a little biased but I need to be able to build my own system from the ground up with what I want/need.

iPhone has GPS but not NAV built in and I know a lot of people who complain about its accuracy at best. Almost all of my iPhone friends get lost when trying to use it. Luckily a majority of us have android. iPhone users are mostly girls and adults who just want something as simple as possibly.

I have a gaming PC that I built as well and I work as a network admin. I bought the air before all of these other copy cats/ ultrabooks came out. I havent seen the Asus one, but the Dell/HP/Acer etc platforms seem to be cheap flimsy ripoffs. I paid 1300 for mine and it wails for whatever I need to do and its solid, not flimsy. At the time it was the best in those terms and probably still is. I am hard on my shiz. I paid for the aluminum body. No different than someone paying extra for CNC stuff from toolmaker or Geoff IMO.

Myself and a few of my friends had iPhones in the beginning and switched. I dont go customizing the colors of my text bubbles or installing a new rom everyday, but I do like having some versatility. I usually pick things right up, but coming from an iPhone it was a bit confusing, different OS joo kno wut I mean? Battery life is bad if you have crappy service or have always on mobile data etc. Also Verizon phones that are locked down to LTE and you cant turn it on / off makes me mad. Roasts the battery and makes the phones look like junk. I hardly use 4g on sprint because there isnt much need to unless I am tethering. I have an EVO 3d and regularly beat the hell out of it, never close apps, text all day long, fap with it, etc. Battery lasts most of the day, if not longer than my old iphones. Battery life for a phone is so circumstantial that I cant even see it being an argument. So much of it comes down to use, level of service in your area, settings etc. If you buy the Evo 3d and watch 3d movies all day and take 3d photos and then complain your battery *****, well no ****. If you take 20 videos on your iphone while connected to exchange and icloud and your battery dies, no ****. Hell I run the ipads down at work in a day if I really have a use. I like android better and if you want to complain about your droid *******, its because you didnt do your research. Buying an android or windows phone is not unlike buying a car these days. Some are better than others and some are better for certain things than others. If you buy a first gen 4g phone and ***** about battery life then you are an idiot. Apple didnt include 4g on the iphone because there would be no option to turn it off in the os and it would roast battery life. also I dont think ATT can handle that many 4g users.

I am no fan boy. I run linux on a lot of servers at work, windows on my work laptop and TV/Gaming PC and Mac OS on my laptop for home.
