Not to my surprise, so did my friends 3gS (the S is for speed luls). As far as speed goes a 4S and most dual core android phones go, you wont notice much difference. Down the road you probably will as the 4S is dual 800mhz and most android phones are 1.2 or 1.5 and with the option to root quite easily, you can overclock etc. iPhone works great, but is a bit of a sandbox and a gimmick (lol Siri, android has built in voice recognition throughout the OS. ) Android has always had a notification bar, and within it you can do a lot more. Android is open source and that means anyone can tweak it and make it better. Each company tweaks the OS differently and some have features that you wont find elsewhere. HTCs Sense UI or Samsungs Touchwiz. Even without rooting your Android phone, you can have third party text apps, music players etc. The Notification pulldown bar also gives more options and freedoms, I can turn on and off different radios, clear ram, change songs, change volume, change brightness etc. Android also has the ability to let you share just about anything. Install an imgur or facebook app and in the share menu for a photo or video or url you will find the ability to upload directly to that service or app. Android also has the ability to do true multi tasking which iOS still does not. This contributes to shorter battery life sometimes, but if you use your phone a lot it comes in handy (you can also turn off a lot of these settings) Also removable battery/extended life battery, external device support, expandable memory, and not being tied to itunes/icloud bs are all nice. And you dont have to go through all sorts of BS if you like your own ringtones. Having widgets mingling with apps is also pretty nice to have. Having 3rd party browsers like Dolphin HD and Firefox really opens up your freedoms as well.

[QUOTE="nateberrier, post: 7687655, member: 612014"] Every Android phone on sprint is 50-100-200 dollars cheaper than the iphone. The hardware is outdated when they drop it and all they have to do is stick an S or up the number on the end for everyone to drop 300 on a new one. I had the original iphone for a long time and the 3g for a bit as well. I was one of the first to have one. At that time Android wasnt in existence and when it was, there wasnt much to it. I kept the apple because it does work well and I could con my way through 55 bucks a month ultd data on Tmobile haha. I made the switch to the HTC Hero and it was a good phone but the battery ****** and as updates came along it bogged down. Not to my surprise, so did my friends 3gS (the S is for speed luls). As far as speed goes a 4S and most dual core android phones go, you wont notice much difference.
