Amps not getting power

so i got the speaker wires hooked up went from the rear speaker to the speaker level input thing on a mrp m500. we then hooked it up straight to the batterie and its not getting power, but we know there is power going to it? any help?

good ground? fuse in the power wire?

Does this amp work with no remote(using the speaker input to kick on)?

i dont know we never got it to turn on. we had a positive line going to the batterie and the negative terminal going to the ground. (im new to car audio)

issue will be the remote wire(turn on wire)

It's light blue.

And he's talking about the ground for your amp not your battery. Make sure to sand it down to make a sure connection on the chassis.
