Hey im about to order 2 12 XXX whenever the stock comes in but i would like some suggestions on how to power these bad boys, i've looked into the following

Rockford Fosgate 1501bd

Memphis (not sure which model) 1500

Tsunami DB1800

HiFonics BX1500D

MTX Thunder1501D

i'll be running 2 amps into 2 subs, not sure if i should bridge them or not...

the Crossfire is a bit too expensive, but i also saw the Brutus 1500 for $245, and at that price i could even pick up four of them but i doubt the system will need 4 amps for those 2 subs.

Lastly how important is the remote bass control, i know the rockford and the HiFonics have this feature but i dont think tsunami or MTX does

i've already got a yellowtop, im doin the big 3 next week, and have a mean green 200amp alt ready to go as well, and i hear caps are useless

any help would be great

or should i look for some more power, since the rms is 1600 and the amps are all 1500
If you're gonna be running 2.. you're gonna have 3000 watts of power going into your subs. I dont think theres any remote possibility you'll be able to tell that extra 200 watts. A brutus on each xxx would be great. LOTS of success stories with that combo. If you have 2 subs 2 amps, and you're going with the brutus, just get the standard dual 2 ohm xxx's. Then run each one to its own amp for 1 ohm loads on each. That'll give you full power out of the brutus. Check http://www.jlaudio.com for help on wiring dvc 2 ohm into 1 ohm.

what about 2 Planet Audio Class D P2250D ?? they are rated at 2250 watts at 1 ohm, and if i have 2 of those connected to 2 xxx's would it still be safe?

plus i dont know how well the planet audio performs...

this would be the correct install right?

1 DVC driver with Voice Coils in Parallel

Connecting the two voice coils of the driver in parallel (+ to +, - to -) will result in the following impedances:

Dual-6 Ohm Subwoofer: 3 Ohms

Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofer: 2 Ohms

Dual-2 Ohm Subwoofer: 1 Ohms

Yeah do that for each amp/sub combo.. umm about the planet audio's... I have never used them or seen them so I can't comment on their performance, but if they are doing 2250 each.. now you're hitting enough watts to make you go deaf. If you're into competing, I think that'd work pretty nice for you if you port the XXX's. If you're just having a daily driver, that's gonna be too much. You're gonna have to drive with ear plugs.

Edit: I also would not reccomend feeding the XXX's that much power all the time. You want to take care of your subs. Although I think the ear pain will keep you from damaging them.

so the hifonics brutus would be a good choice? or could i push them a little more with a tsunami, plus i can get a brutus for $245

The hifonics is cheap and will definitely do the job. With the tsunamis, you're comparing 3000 watts to 3600 watts. Again at that level, it might be hard to tell the difference, but if you're competing bigger is always better.
