amp-sub wiring question

ive got a 2-channel amp that puts out 150 watts per channel and a dvc sub 300 rms(150/vc im assuming), dual 4 ohms. I was wonderin what the best way to wire them would be, i don't think my amp could handle a 2 ohm mono load, but would wiring the vc in series then bridging the amp give me enough power? o yea, also if the best way to wire it would be to just put each coil into its own channel, would i need two places for the wires to exit the box?

ma audio, m286i, its 2 ohm stereo stable and 4 ohm mono stable i think

DO NOT put a dvc subs coils into separate channels. You will end with a world of not so good stuff. Sending two separate signals to one speaker.......and then trying to make that speaker reacte two separate ways? Bridge the amp if it is able to handle the 2ohm load you should be fine.

thnx man. one more question, if i wired an 8 ohm mono load would that provide the same power as two 4 ohm's in each channel?

Technically yes, but if the amp is capable of a 2ohm load why not go that route instead and get a bit more power to them?

Check with your MA dealer or their website and see if it's 2 ohm stable bridged. Most of todays amps are. If it is, that is the way to go. If not then yes run your speakers in series for an 8 ohm load.
