amp / sub matchup problem? plz help

i have an audiobahn 8002t amp

and i have 2 12'' kick cvr's running off it, which on the terminal says the are 2 ohm, so im guessing the two subs, run into the +, - terminal on the amp, and i have double up speaker wire, running from the +terminal to the + on channel one, and the negative terminal to - on channel 2 (so its bridged, exactly how instructions say)

amp cuts out i think its due to overload, or gain or somethihng

like the amp goes into protect mode, and I have a switch that runs to the accesory wire so i can directly cut the power to it, so when it goes into protect i just shut off the amp and let it cool down and i can turn it back on 5-10 min later and it will run for about 20 min before cutting out, depending on the songs. I have my headunit set to -2 bass, so i can't figure out the problem.

i dunno hwo to wire it parallel to the amp, so i think thats why it is messing up

Those subs are dual voice coil subs. Meaning each sub has two voice coils, or 4 voice coils in total. Each coil can be wired individually. How do you have them wired? In parallel? If so, that would create a .5-ohm load on an amp that is only rated for 4 ohms when bridged (if those are 2-ohm DVC subs)!

the two subs run into a terminal on the side of the box, and then i have speaker wire running from the + to the + on the amp, for one chan, and the - so forth (bridging it). THe amp keeps going into protect. I have a switch set up off the accesory wire so i can directly cut the power to the amp to let it cool down. Do you think my alternator is what is making it go, or my amp isn't powerful enough.
