Amp Shuts off at medium volumes PLEASE HELP

I do not know much at all about cars or car audio systems so i apologize if i am a hassle. Recently for Christmas i got/installed a sub into my car. It works perfectly fine until i turn up the volume a little bit. If i turn up the volume my amp starts flashing blue and the sub stops bumping. I think it is going into protection mode. How do i stop my amp from going into protection mode at medium volumes?

without a full system description, info with model numbers, amp settings, enclosure specs, vehicle, head unit..... ETc.... We cant help you without any proper detail.

Its the same thing as asking someone uuuuh my system broke how do i fix it over the internet.... It just doesnt work that way.

The amp may not be properly matched to the sub. And like this guy ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ said....with out the proper information,hard to help ya out.
