amp problem

ok so this might be kind of a stupid question but yesterday someone was loading something in the back of my car and i had to move my box and amp over so it would fit, and when they put it in they shifted my box even more and im guessing bumped the amp and it caused the ground wire to come loose, not completely come off but just loosen so of course the amp cut out and what not and i thought it was no big deal, ill just pop the wire back on and all will be good. well, it's not. i retightened and checked all the wires to make sure they were secure and my amp does nothing. the power light doesnt even come on so what i wanted to know is if theres anyway to find out if he fried my amp or possibly my fuses?

ok so i checked the fuse on my battery and my amp and power was running through them just fine, also there were no signs of arcing or burning around any of the terminals. the weird thing was that when the car was turned off, the amp had 12 volts running through it, but when you turned it on, the power would drop down to about 3 volts... any ideas what that might mean?
