Advice on running kicker zx1500

im running an hdc315 on a kicker zx1500 and i want to put it in a 4.2 cubic box.. what should i tune it to? and should i run it at 1 ohm? 2 ohms? zero gage wiring? additional info is in my sig

what voice voil config is your sub. you cant just run it at whatever. and tune it to 40hz. and go with 0 gauge

use 0 guage wiring and run the amp at 2 ohms. Since you have a upgraded alt you could probably run it at 1 ohm, but its not covered under the warranty at 1 ohm. i myself would probably run it at 1 ohm but thats because my friends have before with no problems. The amp puts out plenty of power at 2 ohms so either way you should be fine. From what i hear the hdc315's like higher tuning, so somewhere in the range of 36-40hz should be good.

edit: well seeing how you have the dual 1 ohm sub, 2 ohm to the amp is your only option. So wire the subs in series to get 2 ohms and you should be fine. Let us know how the hdc315 does off that amp, apparently some guys are saying minimum 2500 rms for that sub.

we dont know that he has a d1 sub. just because they are out of the d2 doesnt mean that he didnt order it before they ran out. when you buy your sub you have to specify what VC config you want, what did you specify? if you dont know what that means and you just ordered. then you should prolly do more research then just plugging in wires and hoping it works.
