yeah im kinda seeing that.i just dont understand how merely loosening the ground wire caused it to fry

loosen means not as much wire to complete the full circuit. 0g positive and 20g negative will leave stains on the carpet somewhere, lol.

kinda amp? Some internally have a fuse to protect against that kinda stuff. Might have blown that, if it has one.
