Amp-on wire for stock radio?

First, the forum Search button is NOT working, it sits there for 5 minutes doing nothing then times out.

Anyways I need a way to turn my amp on from my brothers stock o5' GM Silverado pickup truck.

I think the cigarette lighter might be switched with the ignition, but is there some obvious place I should tie into to get switched 12v?

You can just tap off of the fuse box. The radio fuse usually only has power when the key is turned. Just go in with a dmm or test light and see what fuse only has power when the ignition is on. But, like i said the radio fuse is the best bet. That is the one you want to tap off of. In line fuse is always a good idea as well(after youve tapped your source).
