what amp does everyone here use to power their xxx..(b/c of the 1.17 ohm dvc's)anyone use anything other than the 35-1???

Any amp that is stable at 1 ohm is fine Considering how you can wire an XXX to 1 ohm

Look for something that does 1000+...by the way, what is your budget?

i've found a couple amps i was looking into....1200.1 tsunami 1100D..any other suggestions for about the same price...how do you get 1ohm???

go here - http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/spkrmlti.htm that should help you, but to explain it in words, cause i had to wire my sub twice to get it right, lol, just treat each pair of voice coils like 1 dual VC sub, and wire each pair in series, and each pair will have its own channel on the RE 35-1D, but i dont know about the other amps, you shouldnt have any trouble though.

E-mail RE or PM mattj to get the XXX wiring diagram...it shows you how to wire it to three different options.

ok thanks....are all the xxx quad coils...for some reason i thought you could go dual or quad...but i think they're all quad ??right

All quad...for the time being anyway.

HC's are offered in DVC or QVC.

I run mine of a JBL 1200.1 @ 1ohm..it's fine, just draws a lot of current.

I believe you can go either way if you contact RE, but dont quote me on it.

When we re-stock on XXX's they will come in dual 2ohm (1.8) by default. Quad coils will be quad 1.4 and cost extra.

Brian Son, RE dealer in Korea has offered me an incredible deal on the HC and SE. Due to my current financial status, I am leaning towards the SE. I have also heard that the SPL levels between the HC and SE would be similar.

How much power would I need to send 1 12" SE sub to attain very good SPL figures in a 2.0~2.5CuFt ported box? How about the HC, the same size box?
