wow i remember i use to be like hurger hat cat and think sony was the shit cause it looked cool. then i saw audiobahn and tought it was even cooler. then i did research and heard a couple of systems and found out that they sound like *** cheeks flapping against eachother. thanks to this forum i have seen the light.

so what kind of amp should i get for the type r's? they look really good to me and i think imma get the 2 ohm ones does alpine make good amps? i seen all of the amps and im not sure which one would be suitable for the speakers im getting...

If you're getting 2 of them, you're going to want the dual 4ohm versions. If you get the dual 2ohm versions, you're going to have a really hard time finding an amp because of your wiring options. It'll take a lot of searching and money to find an amp that will 1.) Put out 1000w RMS @ 4ohm or 2.) Be .5ohm stable. Definately go with the dual 4ohm configuration.
