chill, hes just new to car audio (I hope he is anyways). But anyways If you havent already bought the subs DONT. Because Sony makes Crap for Car audio. You would be better off selling the subs if you already have em and buying new better ones. Ask for suggestions from people on the forums they are very Knowledgeable.

look for a profile amp on crutchfield.. im sure you can find one that will put out 500 rms (assumign you have 2) or so for like 100-200 bucks and they have awesome customer service and 3 year warranties on profile amps.

either a 2 channel with 200-300 rms @ 4 ohms x2 or a mono would be better.. a mono 600 watt would be nice i think profile makes a 600 watt monoblock amp.

its a great amp for the moeny

ah i thought u had had a previous system. before you ask what is the best sub out there, just search this forum a bit and you'll get a good idea as to what everyone is using and how good they slam or how good the sq is on them. btw, JL is NOT the best.

Ok, now what price range total are we talking? Do you need an amp too? Or do you already have one?

For SQ I would say an Alpine type R? I have one and it hits the lows so good its like candy for your ears, and it has a decent ammount of thump. I have a 12" in a sealed enclosure with about 400 watts to it. Im in love with it. But there are other subs out there, and maybe go see if you can listen to few subs and see waht you think about them.

Alpine Type R's are a great place to get started. My buddy has a pair and I'm quite impressed by them, even for being in a horribly constructed prefab box tuned to God knows what.

It depends on how many you're planning on running and what voice coil configuration you get on them.
