I was wondering if anyone coudl suggest me an amp that would run 2 of these 8 inch subs nicely and cheaply. Cheaply = around 100 bucks. I have an MA Audio 1889i with the following specs:

1 x 400W Rms @ 4 Ohm Mono

1 x 800W Max @ 2 Ohm Mono

I was wondering

1) will this amp be able to run 2 dual voice coil 8 inchers decently or

2) what would be a good amp for around 100-150 that would be able to run these

3) If no amp fits in my price range, please specify an amp which would work very well

Thanks in advance.

See, Im a pretty large newbie so i dont really understand ohms and everythign. I know that wiring it to less ohms means there is less resistance. I think tha tmeans you get more power, but i dont know if there is a downside to that or what it is.

But ya, is that 99 dollar amp a reliable one that I could count on? And would my MA amp even work?

2 be honest with u......if u put a cheap amp like on 2 rli-8's u will barely move it......i d go with the hifonics 1000d....its a better quality than the stuff mentioned

these 8's handle 500w rms

80
