Ok i was sitting in the drive thru at the bank the other day and the volume on My stereo was on about a quarter of the way up when all of a sudden the amp started jumping in and out of protection mode and when it did this, there was a static sounding noise everytime the light switched. I then drove home to check it out, i went over all my wires and they were fine. So i then looked at the amp and it was very hot to the touch, hotter than its ever been before. So i let it cool down and i tried it again, and it was still doing the same thing.
Does anyone know what could be wrong with the amp or what could have caused this. By the way the amp is a directed 1100d 2003 model
