Americans, I need your help (trip planning)

Me and 3 friends are planning a trip to chicago in just over two weeks.. Im trying to book a hotel and am confused about the age of adults, I know the drinking age is 21.. two people will be 18 and two will be 17.

I called a travelodge and they said I have to have at least one guest be 21. I need to know if theres any places that are only 18 or if all places will require a 21 year old.. That seems insane to me.. what if there was four 20 year olds down there, they couldnt get a hotel? shiit.

Also if anyone in Chicago has any ideas for a place, were looking at somewear downtownish. I dont really want to drive around to much.

Is it possible with a couple 18 year olds to get a hotel?

well... we had to have a 21 year old two years ago when i went to panama city beach but i was the oldest and i was only 20 and they didn't say anything... its not like they check to make sure you're the proper age

shit, they do now in P.C. you gotta be 21 and some is $400 deposit during spring break.

ahh this sucks so much, had it all planned, I honestly thought it was ONLY the drinking age at 21, cant you get charged with crimes as an adult at 18? that should = a hotel room.

Concert, 13 hour drive so Im trying to make sure theres nothing to **** it up.

its a budget trip, just to get away for a bit.. Save the warm spots till im done hs and am 18.
