Ive had an AB amp best ive ever had all i Know. but somehow the person I sold it to did manage to break it, no electrical 2500 rms attempt.

I have ran, and was sponsored by both companies.

American Bass stuff is great stuff. Bob is a great guy and is a trip to hang with. His equipment does seem to push the limits of the components quite a bit ( ie his failure rate is higher ) but since I knew him he always treated me right. I have heard some horror stories of regular consumers having trouble getting amps fixed.

Sundown's stuff is rock solid and Jake will take care of the end consumer as well as anyone in the business. Although his stuff hardly ever breaks.

I have had both.. I ran a VFL 400.1 and now run 3000d's... Stepping down in power a little is well worth the service Jacob provides... Both compnaies offer awesome products. It's really going to come down to your budget and what will fit your needs and what goals you want to acheive.

both zenon built. both great product. i have always had great experience dealing with bob. never had a problem getting warranty. he calls once a week just to shoot the shiz. jacob also has great customer service. heard nothing but + dealing with him. can't go wrong with either.

i've only delt with jacob. (multipal times) so i really cant compare the two companys. but i've been very happy with everything i've owned from sundown and a great guy to talk to.

haven't run sundown, but from what i hear they're rock solid.

my vfl 200.1 didnt like low impedence/low voltage. was running it with 2 yellow tops, a 34 series and 31 series, the 31 series was old and worn out, and i believe at the time i had a stock alternator in, while my iraggi was in for service from a popped diode from trying to charge that weak *** battery.

took me a while to figure out my electrical issues were the old battery. i'd say it was dropping to mid 11's, running at .5 ohms, but it took it for weeks until one day it went into protect, i turned it off and back on, and it blew up. granted i abused the shit out of that amp, just sharing my experience.

Sundown = rock solid like said above. I havent owned AB personally but heard they are powerful and strong as well.

not many amps that can take that kind of abuse.

is there a purpose to this thread? are you narrowing down between 2 particular amps? if not this is a wasted thread they're both great amps flip a **** coin

i ran my 200.1 on stock alt and only battery under the hood at .7 for months with no problems

i run both and have never talk to bob or jacob be cause they are both 100% after 2-years of use for sundown and 3+for ab

but the ab is in my ride and the sundown in in wife car so i am going whith ab
