alternator whine

well, after playing around with the car, i noticed a couple of things. The rca's were not exposed (from which i could see), when i unplug the rca's from the hu the whine is still there and when i unplug the rcas from the amp the whine is gone. I checked about 10 different ground locations and quit after i hooked it up to the neg terminal on my battery. And when i rev the car the whine goes up. I have a pioneer, and that page would have helped but it turned out my HU has a faulty RCA ground inside
