alternator thoughts GM AD244 or 10/12si

ok i need a new alternator , i have a 96 s10 that ive dropped a v8 in over the winter and now im in need of a alternator i have it setup for a ad244 alt now ,but also have the brackets to run a 10si or 12si , i guess is there anyone better then the other benefits , thoughts please looking into like a 270 amp alt whats your thoughts

Just get a 6 phase hair pin alt and be done with it

The computer in your truck doesn't control the alt. never did not on a s10

ok fill me in , lol.. the hairpin are side mounts arent they ? if not show me picture so i can get a idea , this is where im getting confused is the plug that plugs into the alt and where it get ran to ?
