that JBL pushes 600 at 4ohms and 1200 at 2ohsam

i assume i would run it at 2 ohms then and give it 1200 rms??

ok that JBL dont say if its PEAK or RMS if its only pushing 1200W PEAK @ 2ohms well then what wont be bearly enough but if its RMS then its fine... if that is RMS this is great cuz its much cheaper

THE RF1501 I c that pushes 1500W RMS @ 2ohms.... now that acctaully sounds ideal for the Type X, the sub is 3000W max and 1000RMS(which is weird most subs r half which would be 1500RMS) but the 1500 wouldnt blow the sub or over powerit or ne thing would it?

also ne idea on where to find the PG Tantrum 1200.1?

and that 1.2kW is even a little underrated...expect to be pushing 1300W RMS at full tilt.

I bought mine on Ebay, but since they've been discontinued they're tough to find...try trawling the used forums on these boards.

Personally, I'd go with the JBL...that's all you need for this sub, and it's a hell of a deal.

I heard a Type X about 2 days ago, and they get super loud and handle the power. The SQ is very good, and the spl is good. The driver itself is pretty expensive, my opinion its better then the W7.

reeeeaalllyy....how about compared to your xxx? well i know yours would probably own it but in your estimation what about compared to a 12" with just 1000w? And was the one you heard sealed or ported?

They Type X should be able to handle a lot of power, I would go for the 1501bd, it puts out 1670 @ 2 ohms.

but, like it has been said, the bd 1001, or the jbl 1200.1 would be good choices. I would personally go w/ the RF amp.. had problems w/ jbls in the past. And what about the Alpine amps? I know that they are rated @ 2 ohms, and their big amp will power that sub nicely (i think it's around 1000 rms).
