i mainly want spl...but at the same time i dont want some subs that sound like dog shit cuz i listen to them on the daily most the time...so...xxx...not the best choice...i dont know...where i am from everyone runs kicker...jl...alpine all the well known name brands...my x's compete pretty well locally but i just want something that will just blowaway my old setup and **** the competition...as the comps i attend are not the biggest events. so i dont know i am lost now with all the mixed opinions on which re sub to go with...

btw i am not stuck on re but they are very very appealing to me....the excursion they have is crazy...

my box btw tuned to 32 hz

MT is an SPL sub that is very loud and has great lows depending on the box. Whereas the XXX will need much more power to reach the same SPL levels due to its lower sensitivity. But they will probably sound better. They are more of a sealed box driver now-a-days

If what you really want is to be loud and sound decent go with the MT's...they are much cheaper as well.

Throw 2000 watts at them and you will be happy

My MT is a dual 2ohm sub. There are usually a few floating around the forum for similar prices. If not you could always just scoop up a motor and get it reconed.

They can get real loud but dont really need tremendous amounts of power to do so.

I had mine in a very small box tuned to 35hz and was doing around mid 140's on music off of around 2000watts. I could have gotten much louder with some tuning/testing.

Watt for watt I believe they are the loudest sub RE makes.

okay i def want d2's... where is the best place to get these new? just exploring my options... i havent found them anywhere new for less than i can get the xxx new...

if i go with the mt's two of these oughta make the flex at 1 ohm!

you could try and find a local dealer from RE's web site but RE's prices have gone through the roof recently. So used would be like half price for you ha.

I used an older model brutus 2607 and it worked great, even down to 0.5ohms. Good amps for the money, and I think those newer ones are even better

alright i found out a local audio shop deals re so i will give them a jingle tommorrow to see what the want for some mt's still wondering if anyone knows where i can get them offline or something.
