Alpine Type X 12'

Well, i think i want to get rid of my type r's and get a type x. I know i will be sacrificing some spl, but a little less bass won't kill me since i will be getting another type x for christmas or something.

I need to know if the Type x is more of an SPL or SQ woofer. I also heard they can handle 1500 rms daily, is that true?

Any info on the type x would be great, THANK YALZZZZ

the Type-X is definately an SQ driver, and you will definately lose output in relation to SPL

I'm more of an SQ guy though, so it wouldn't hurt. Is it true that they can handle 3-500 more rms than rated like the type r's though?
