Hmm, it might be that he inverted it, but didn't have the sub centered on the cutout. Thus, when the sub moved the surround/cone hit the box on one side of the sub, destroying the coil.

I don't know.

who cares if the coil is small... the woof performs...

or maybe some people need bigger woofers to make up for other inadequacies...

btw.. yea, the surround was pressed against the box a bit, knocked the coil out of alignment and poof goes the woofer. Other than that, Ive never had a problem.

yea, we should get big subs like a mofo, it looks like it has a beefy coil, so it has 2 be loud. snova, did u atleast test the sub be4 u ***** it?
