Hey so I'm about to get some new speakers and I've narrowed down my search to the Type Ss and the Type Es from alpine but I can't find any comparisons showing which is better. I want some opinions on their overall better sound, there doesn't have to be an extreme amount of bass but i do want to be able to hear it.

I have the type Ss and they sound good but you just have to know that Alpine's RMS rating for them is way above what it actually is. I blew the tweeter in my type S at 60W and it should handle 80W. Ive had this problem with my other alpine speakers i bought so just know that they can't handle what they say and you should be careful how you power them.

I would just go with a ported box tuned from 32 hz. - 35 hz.
