hey my friend is wanting to hook up a set of these up and was wondering what amp would be best for cheap. they say 50 rms 300 max i think.

I am the friend. They are the 6.5 comps that are rated at 50rms and 200 max. I herd that puting 150w to any comps set would sound the best but the RMS on these speakers are only at 50 RMS. Should I run 50rms or a 150w amp and turn the gains down? Please LMK.

I say run about 75 to them.....but a good match for a pair would be a 100 rms amp. I Doubt you will want them to be as loud as they can get.....

Ya, thats what I was thinking. I thought that 150w's was a bit much. I will probably put the recom. 50w to it and play it safe. Do you think it will sound good/loud with 50RMS? LMK.
