Alpine Type R

definatly only 1...when u look at a single amp to power 2 subs, look if it is capible for bridging...if ti is then look at those stats...not for the unbridged, for these it looks like

880W x 1 RMS Bridged @ 4 Ohms

1920W x 1 Max Bridged @ 4 Ohms

880 watts is just a LITTLE to much for 1 but not close enought for 2...and the 1920 max power...dont go off that, that will fry your amp very quickly...so if u were to go wtih this amp just get one sub...adn turn the amp down to around 600 or 650 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

this is a NICE alpine amp, great for runnign 2 12"s 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms...500 watts a piece...sounds like a perfect match!

just take a look around ebay, ud be suprosed what u can find! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I want to get two subs that hit hard and loud, but also sound OK.Should i get:

1) Two 10" inch type R's

2) two 10" JL Audio 10W0

3) two 10" JL Audio 10W1V2-4
hhmm...thats a toughy...r u going for anything in perticular...like SQ or SPL...or are u just like me and everytime a girl crawls into that passanger seat she creams her thong?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

but really, i PESONALLY would go with the Type R's...JL really doesnt have anything EXTRODENARY until u get up into the W6 and W7's...but thats just me, ull have 2 make that decision on ur own

I had both my R's hooked up to a nine.1 at 1 ohm, about 600 watts each. It sounded good but the enclosure was too small.

Now I have just one in a 2.5^3 with 1144 watts rms (dmm) at 2.37 ohms. I don't play it at full tilt all the time, but the R has no problem taking the power for 15 minutes straight or so.

The still sound good with 500 though, if that's all you wanna give it. To each his own. Personally I want a 2500D and a new box for both of em.

ya man, i no, i need to go get meetered too...lol, before i got my sub i just had 4 type r comps in my car, and for shure MOST people that got into my car THOUGHT I HAD SUBS...even those little 6.5's thump LOL!
