Alpine Type R ... Rebuild Possible?!

Motor looks to be basic 6 bolt, 2" voice coil.

OD - 2 1/8"

ID - 2"

Looking to build a lower power 8" just for the hell of it.

Wondering if a rebuild is possible.

The bolt pattern is different. I drilled a type R basket to fit a TC-9. The spiderlanding on a type R is like 8.25" or something weird.

ill be using a generic basket if possible...create some type of frankenwoofer!
