Alpine Type - R "Rattle Fart"

I have 2 SWR-1222D with a MRP-M1000 amp wired for 2 Ohm. My subs seem to have this rattling fart noise comming from them. I had them in a sealed box and at first thought my box had a leak. I removed the subs and played them in open air and they still make the rattling. It looks as if the "spider ?" ( the brown fabric looking thing ) is slapping the cone. I get the noise no matter what my gain is set at and only at a medium-low Hz. The volume doesn't have to be that loud either.

One of my friends said that since I dont have a capacitor and I get light dimming my amp is getting "dirty power" causing clipping. Would this be the case or could it just be a possible defect with BOTH subs? Any one have a similar experience?

You sure its no big deal? Its annoying as hell and embarasing when your showing off your system to a buddy. Its not like it dose it once and a while, it has always done it since I got the subs. Is this typical of Alpine subs?

isnt these subs dvc, because i use to own 2 of them, if it is dvc, u can only wire them 4ohm or 1 ohm, i think that alpine mrpm1000 isnt rated at 1ohm, u can only wire it at 2 ohm with a 2 channel amp or so, wire one sub to one channel then u will get the 2 ohm load. try wire the sub at 4 ohm because that amp takes 500watt at 4ohm. see how it sounds.

yes 2 ohm will take much power from the stock electric, i ran it at 1 ohm when i had them and it dime like crazy but no clipping noise, but later i pick up a 2channle bridgeable at 4ohm, and my lights wasnt diming at much. u should look for an amp that pushing between 1000-1500 watt 4ohm bridge or 1200-1700 1ohm

I have them wired like this

Theres no way I could have blown them. Right from the start they sounded like that and when I hear that rattling I turn it down.

They sound great, its just that rattling is annoying and scares the hell out of me.

dont listen to your friendamp clips only if the gains aren't set correctly

spider shouldn't be hitting cone

check wiring

that is all...
I have them wired like the picture a few posts above. Here is a diagram of my setup.

i have the same problem with mine, so i think its just an alpine thing
you can only hear the rattling when you open your trunk right?
Well I have a Toyota Highlander ( SUV ) so I can really hear it good from up front. However when I go in the back and open the door it is very audible.

Ground?

Wiring?

I have heard on the forums, that you are to let your subs "break in" after you install them new, is this a possible outcome from not "breaking in" the subs properly?

Edit, and it's not likely, that with the amount of people using Alpine, that they are typically functioning improperly.

Do either of you still have warranty?

tinsel lead slap?????????
hmmm...maybe? but would it be THAT loud inside the box? I guess maybe if it were long enough tinsel leads to slap the cone...but he said it happens at any gain setting, assuming the speakers don't motor a lot at low gains, that would make his problem go away.
