Alpine Type R question

Hey guys, can anyone tell me what is the minimum rms I could get by with on a Alpine Type R 10" sub? I did some searching on here but couldn't find anything other then they can take more then the stated rms. I'm trying to find out if 220w rms would be enough to push a single 10" Type R. If 220w rms will do the trick how will it sound? I mainly listen to rock & classic rock and I'm not looking to be heard from blocks away or anything like that. Any advice?

it should be fine. its not liek its gonna hurt it or anything. you could give it as little power as you want.

i dont know how efficient they are though so its hard to tell exactly what the sub would do with that power. it should still sound decent though.

i wouldnt buy a type r with only 220rms though
