Alpine Type R Decision

Does anyone know which would offer better Sound Quality? Either one of these setups are going to be plenty loud for me so try not to take that into consideration. I am more worried about what will give me the "cleanest sound"

Dual Type R 10'' or the same configuration with the 12'' model. The Subs will be powered by a PDX 1.1000 in a manufacture recommended sized sealed enclosure. This will be placed behind the seats of a Ford Ranger Extended cab if that makes any difference.

I am also wanting to present a 4ohm load to the Amp. How will the subs have to be wired to make that happen. (Sub impedance 4 ohm or 2 ohm? and would they be wired parallel or in series?

All opinions are appreciated.
