I don't get the hype with the type Rs

I got the specs off the alpine site and compared it to my soundstream PCW-12 in winisd and I got slightly better spl and lower group delay with my sub than the type R. This was of course with both subs at 350wrms to make it even.

I tried various box sizes and tuning frequencies but the pcw still came out on top.

Local guy has 4 old type r 12's and 2 new type r 12's willing to take 75 buck each if interested. The 2012's are bnib. He wants 500 for all 6 so you maybe can even wiggle him down even more. Located on shreveport, louisiana CL. I will post add if interested. Was gonna buy the 2012's and flip them but after shipping and what not I just did not see much profit coming from them.

Not sure as I was not interested in the 2011's so I said price for each 2012 and he said he would take 75 bucks. One moment for link. If anyone does buy I am more then willing to pick them up and make sure all is good and ship to you.

I went ahead and ordered two new SWR-12D2's which is the 2012 type r. I got two of them new shipped on ebay for 300.

sounds like a good deal wish i could have waited for the new 1000rms ones but oh well the ones i have are thumping pretty good right now so you should be very happy...
