Alpine Type-R 12"

I have a my Alpin in a 1 cubic foot box and was wondering if any body knows if it will sound better or louder in a ported box. I had a Preditor 12" in a ported 3 foot ported box and it got louder but more distorted.

louder... yes... sound won't deteriate a bunch..

Do you know how I can find out how big and and what size port I need. It didn't come with specs.

4" round port

make the port 10.8 long..

tuned to 27hz

2 cubes ported.... I'd just stick to a sealed design....

different woofers react differently to different enclosures...

If space is an issue.. find a low Fs, low Qts woofer...

The Perfect is almost the same. It is (Fs 23.663, Qts 0.38 Vas 87.5L). So can I use the same box specs (1.75cubic ft).

the enclosure looks a little boomy to me.. but it'll probably work...

Course Im anal about enclosures.. so you'll probably be fine with it.. lol

go with 2 cuft with a 4" round port that is 12 long..
