Hmm maybe invest in a new box instead of subwoofer?

Found a guy that'll build me a custom box but i can't really afford 200 bucks right now. Any companya that build good prefabs? I have searched with no luck.

Id build a new box or have one built, but you don't have to spend $200 on a nice box.

I'd also upgrade the sub though too.

It is indeed a prefab but i have measured it and from the best I can tell it is the size and tuning i stated. So maybe a baffle and put a ten in the box as i don't have time with two jobs to make a new box.

I work two jobs, own a house, have a dog and two cats, and in the middle of a split with me and my fiancé. I found time to build a box. It's doable. An hour or two here and there.

your guess is completely wrong. The box is more like 1.3 cubic feet tuned at 38hz, You subtract thickness of the wood, then subtract the space the port takes up then you subtract the space the sub takes up then you find the tuning. Its a garbage box man. Go with custom ported and you'll get a lot louder. Just buying any sub and sticking it in a horrible box will give you horrible bass.

build your own, not that hard. *OFFICIAL* Free Ported Box Plans (56k NO!!) - Dodge SRT Forum

There's the cut sheets and designs. Go to home depot, get the guys to cut the wood, buy wood glue and screws and a cheap 20 dollar jigsaw, go home glue and screw, cut the hole and you are done. cheap box for under 80 dollars including jigsaw costs.
