Alot has changed in 10 years

I'm suprised the BOSE can handle the 4300
They can handle it with the gains maybe 1/5 of the way up (2 volt input) and crossed over at 100Hz. I need new speakers so the amp can really shine.

yeah your not gonna get a good 1000 watt amp for $100-$150 maybe a Pyramid or Power Acostik or some other crap amp...whats bad a lot of brands you use to know as good or basically crap these days //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
I know what your saying I've been looking at alot of stuff online the past few weeks. I can't believe what has happened to this industry. Even my beloved Earthquake seems to have gone down the crapper

quality hasn't dropped... if anything its gotten better, BUT, there is a TON of crap out there now... know what im sayin... if you look hard enough, you can find better, but if you don't do your research, you can easily buy crap....

I'd say average is .50cents/watt... if it goes up from there, you either A. bought some REALLLLY good stuff, or B. Bought a prestige "brand name" like X-tant, or JL....those retail for about 1000 bucks for 1000watt amp...but may not be as good as a cliff designs, or IA amp

edit: what you mean down the crapper.. its still around (dunno if its any good)

Alot has but there still is some decent stuff out there. I own all older amps myself. Although i have toyed with the idea of checking out some newer stuff, i always come back to the older gear. I know they are good, and i know what they can do.

In PA Earthquake was not well known. But was some of the best stuff you could buy. Their logo was kinda cheesy and their stuff wasn't flashy but it was of the best quality. They where on the cutting edge too. They where not affraid to try new things. Now it seems they have all but disappeared. Even their website is old. Still talking of stuff that is 10 years old
