Local car audio shop installed amp and sub today...

I got a JL 12W3V3 (2 ohm) in a slot ported enclosure powered by a Clarion APX1300.

I should be getting 400 Watts RMS to the sub at 2 ohms.

I have an Alpine DVA-9861 and I can control the sub level, 0-15 but when level is 0 the sub is still on. I think 0 should mean off.

I'm happy with the sound but it vibrates my rearview mirror so bad that my view is of the backseat 5 seconds into a song.

JL 12W3V3, Clarion APX 1300, Slotted Enclosure, Amp wiring kit and installation was $650.

I could have saved some money by doing it myself. However, having it done in less than 2 hours and not having to do any actual work was worth it to me.

The Fight Club Soundtrack sounded great on this set up.

yeah that doesn't sound like a bad price. also do the deck go into the negatives for sub level? 0 is probably just no extra boost.

Yeah, negatives would be nice but it stops at zero.

Also, my gain is only half way up and it still pounds really hard. I was happy about that.
