Not sure if Stetsom still makes 4k2D but I really liked that amp when I used it, Legit power, ran cool, and small footprint.
Assuming your uncles aren't veterans with car audio you really don't want to put them into 5kw into a pair of those subs. They will break stuff fast.

They had old school gear, but nothing close to as big as what we have now

Well, VM subs are shite, this amp looks to be able to do around 2-2.5K rms maybe. I'd trust a Skar 2K long before this amp, or find a used Synergy 15.1, or TS 1.8 ....

Yeah, I think I'll be going with the Skar's.

Now, I need to figure out the alt situation. My 320 amp Singer hairpin fits the 71 Firebird bracket, but the stock v-belt pulley has a slightly larger inner diameter than will fit on my 320 spindle. Not sure if there is a v-belt pulley that will fit on the 320 spindle, or if it's possible to use some type of cone washer on each side of the pulley, and torque it down.
