I'm 21, been into car audio about 6months after i got my first car (about 17). I guess i'm more concerned with SPL, although i did sell my 4 12's because i didn't see a point in having it that loud for a daily.

I guess i want it loud (to a certain extent) and sound good while doing it.

Audio in general, ever since I could remember I loved loud music. As a kid I was facinated with speakers and connecting as many as I can to an old reciever we had, from their it crossed over to car audio. But as a home audio fanatic as well I will prefer SQ anyday

OK folks out of curiousity how old is everyone and how long have you been involved in car audio? Do you look for SQ or SPL?
I am 39 and been involved in car audio for 20 years. When I was in my 20's I wanted SPL up until I hit 37, now I want SQ

I turned 36 in December. Literally just crossed over from spl to sq last week. Couldn't stand all that infernal racket:groovy:

23, SQ only, whether at home or in car. Home's much more of a priority now.

I appreciate the amount of work that goes into high-level SPL builds, but I can't see that being enjoyable for anything more than a weekend thing.

Just turned 19, been into car audio for ~2 years since I got my truck. I bounce between sq and spl, just depends on what I'm listening to at the time

19 been into car audio since 14 doing multiple installs for many friends including myself. i was a real noob though until i found this site and have learned quite a bit since being here.

im real big into spl, but and trying to better my knowledge in the sq department. my first run at an sq system went fairly well for the limited time i had it, but am now trying to do the best of both worlds install...a really nice front stage with a really nice sub stage
