I recently had a Pioneer head-unit installed in my car (2013 Volkswagen GTI) about two months ago, model AVH-X3800BHS. It was done for me professionally as I don't have the knowledge to. A few weeks ago, I got into my car to head to the store, and started the car, but the head unit was completely turned off, no lights anywhere. I tried pressing and holding buttons and still nothing, so I tried to re-start my car about two or three times and still nothing. I drove for about half an hour to a store while it was off, and parked. When I got out of the store and back to drive my car, it started right up like nothing ever happened. And since then nothing similar has occurred.
I really want to know if there is an underlying issue here, like a loose power connection of some sort. Or, if this is just be something like a bug. I am not at all educated in this field and wonder why this happened, and would hate to have to yank out the unit to see if anything is loose behind it if I don't have to! Thanks
