Question about getting power off remote wire or distribution block

I already put the interior together after running all my wires. I ran my amp wire to a distribution block to the trunk incase I ever wanted to do 2 amps, I put 2- 4 gauge ground wires incase I wanted 2 amps . I did not take a dsp into account and now I need to power a mini dsp. I basically need 5v-24v power for this thing ,it's the 2x4 dsp.

Can I run it off of the remote wire? My amp wire goes straight to the battery

i wouldnt, dsp's dont pull much amperage but all you need to do is fit a small 18 gauge wire into the distro at either a seperate input, or just put it into the same hole you put your 4 gauge power wire for your other amp and run a small 3 amp inline fuse with it. the ground should be easy, drill a small hole in a clean piece of metal and just ground it to the body. you can even put it over top the other ground bolt already in place if you want - shouldnt get noise

pulling 2 amps out of a remote wire is a bad idea and on top of that remote wires are 12v not necessarily the same voltage as the rest of your system (i guess it wouldnt really matter but theres a potential for high voltage drop)

power the minidsp off the battery, power the remote wire into the minidsp in parallel with your other remote wires. the minidsp still has the 3 power/rem/gnd inputs as an amp
