Do exhaust tips actually serve any purpose? do they make the car sound different?...or do people just buy them for the look?

exaust tips dont make youre car perform any better just make it sound more agressive to make it sound good and perform better you would have to upgrade the hole exaust system

Exhaust tips will only make your vehicle sound different if they have a resonator or some other kind of baffle or flo system in it. Just adding a chrome tip to your pipe won't do anything except add a flash to it.
