Advice on Kicker CompVR series needed

I'm goin to be purchasing a new speaker system for my 99Mustang Coupe. The setup I currently have is MTX2300 Amplifier, and 2 12"MTX Thundercasts in a ported enclosure, both which are 8yrs old so its time for a change.

After searching around I'm thinking of purchasing 2 12" KickerCompVR's 4ohm version so I can bridge it safely. Specifically these: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rNitAX6wyr3/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=520&id=essential_info&i=2065C12VR4#Tab

I'm not sure which amp to get that would provide the necessary power for this set. For those that have heard these...would you recommend a sealed or ported enclosure for this setup? Myself, I've always had ported enclosures for the lows, but I really like the hard-hitting/tight bass.

Im trying not to spend more than $300 for an amp, but I will if I have to.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Would this be considered a good amp: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rNitAX6wyr3/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?I=026TS19202&id=review#Tab

i would go with a hifonics brutus bx1000d for those. cheap amp and should power them fine. ive been feeding my bx1500d to my xxx15 for about a year with absolutely no problems, so ignore all the people that will come on here and claim that it is a shit amp and brand...if you installed everything right and set the gains correctly, you will have no problems. that line of hifonics may not be the most powerful, but they get the job done.

ive heard two 12s comp vrs sealed and it slammed pretty hard, but it slammed way harder (common sence) when i heard them ported. but they did well sealed, from what i heard.

Thx for the help...I'll keep my amp to save $$. I have one more question though....should I get the pair with dual 2ohm voice coils, or the 4ohm ones? I'm guessing that is amp dependent, and doesnt necessarily affect the sq?

dual 4's wired series/parallel= 4ohm load for your amp
