Good morning I wanted to switch out my subs to a kicker solo x 12" im currently running two 10" MTX with a rockford t1500-1bdcp.. my question is that on kicker website im seeing the 1ohm version is ( Rec Amp Power rms (1000 - 2000 ) the dealer in my country told me that I will need more power for this sub
birth sheet
@1ohm my amp 1991
@2ohm its 1752
I do have a t2500 for another build I want to install mid year he told me this is the better amp for the single sub..
wanted to install the solo x 12' in my daily car
anyone advice im thankful for..

This sounds like an interesting project! If you have specific technical questions about the sub or the amp setup, feel free to ask!

For optimal performance, pairing the Solo X 12" with the T2500 when you have it may yield better results. It’s generally advisable to match the sub's power range with an amplifier that can provide adequate power.

The 2500 would offer more headroom which is a good thing to maximize performance, but, the 1500 should power the Solo X 12 pretty good. If you can run it at 1-ohm it’s still nearly 2000 watts. Since you own a 2500 and a 1500, you could always test it and compare to your 1500, you might find the 1500 works well enough for the daily car, it's still decent amount of power.

If your looking for max performance of the sub then of course you should match the RMS but I got 2 B2 Audio subs that ask for 500 RMS each and run only 650-700 and still good amazing output. But my box is tuned to 40 Hz, if you want to get low, your box should be tuned low and you will definitely need to fill RMS to make the low notes matter.
