Advice on future system

Hey all, love the forum btw.. So I have decided to put a system in my truck and would love any advice you could spare. I have two different setups where cost is going to be the deciding factor.

Here we go..

2012 Ram 1500 Quad cab

HU: Pioneer 2400BT

Amp: JL1000/1 or 500/1 (both used)

Subs: two JL 10w6 or two Alpine type r's

Wire kit: 4ga Kicker CK4

 

Box: Foxbox 2-10" VENTED SUB BOX

AIR VOLUME: 1.2 CUBIC FEET PER SIDE

DIVIDED: YES

PORT/VENT TUNE FREQUENCY: 35hz

MAX SUB FRAME SIZE: 13"

MOUNTING HOLE SIZE: 9.125"

MOUNTING DEPTH: 7.25" WITH A 6.5" DIAMETER MAGNET

I have been out of the car audio game a long time and am trying to get caught up so any advice or comments is very welcomed.

the JL and the Alpine are two totally different directions as far as subs go. Might want to state what you want out of this system.

Exactly, that is where the price thing comes into play, if I can get a good deal on the W6's/1000/1 I will go that route but if not I will go will the Alpine. Above most I want good sound quality out of this system. I love nice clean bass.

I feel I am limited with the box I have chosen and in the description for that box they suggest it be paired with the W6's or Type r's. I don't know what's good or not in the sub world and what else would work good with this box. Hell even amps I am not sure about.. I guess the HU is good, is there better ones for that price range? That's the stuff I need help with.

What kind of box do you have? That may play into what subs you can use. I don't like Pioneer hu (though i run one) and that's on the lower end of the spectrum. I think those are only 2volts preout, so a bit on the low side for a hu, lower than I would like.
