Essentially, you are driving a cavalier. Without completely tearing down the platform and rebuilding from the ground up, it will always be a slow cavalier.

j/k... I drive a really slow dodge neon, so don't feel bad. You can make it look better, drive better, and sound better... but it's almost impossible to make it faster without dumping in some serious cash for turbo or wet/dry NOS. So if you can't have a fast car, make sure you have a bi tchen stereo.

Well I have a 2002 cavalier ls right now. I love this little car. I dont know why people hate on decent gm cars. I do agree however if you dont have a z24 style or for the newer ones an ecotec then I would not dump any money on the performance. I would stick to some nice rims and tint the windows. If you have a system in it I would try to keep upgrading that. So if and when you decide to get another car or a better cav then you will have the sounds. I mean I do agree with some people here that it is easy to rice these cars out but they are good on gas and the z's and the ls factory version look quite sporty. Not a bad car for the price really.

Agreed. That's the way I looked at my lil POS. It won't ever be anything even resembling a fast (or even fast-ish) ride so I tried to make it look as decent as could be achieved with minimal investment then dropped a buck or three on the stereo. If I've gotta be slow about getting there I may as well enjoy some tunes while doing so.

Are there no states in the union that allow 15 yr olds to drive? I got my license (full priviledge, not a permit) @ 15 but I think the law here has changed since then...

I have no idea if any states let you drive at 15, but I was under the impression that none do. At least none I've heard of. I drive a trash car at the moment too but I look at it the same way, Might as well make it sound good. Got plans to get better gear too, why would anyone put a clarion DRXZ9255 in a 1985 nissan truck? It won't even make it sound better when its moving I bet, but whatever I just want to build my arsenal for when I get a nice car in 2 years at college. I want to go active and do custom speakers too, just for a lil challenge (if anyone has advice please PM me or e-mail me logan@wavetactics.net) Sorry to threadjack, good luck on your decision with your cavalier. My opinion is avoid making it obnoxious from the outside (BOV and Exhaust even though you cant do the BOV)

I know lots of people that put money into there cavaliers, why? Because they want to and its THEIR car...let him do what he wants and stop ragin on him...im sure everybodys first car was a **** bently by how thier acting.

if u wanna see my system its in my gallery. i have infinity refrence speakers 6x9's in the rear deck and 4x6 's in the front. as for my head unit its alright but could definitly be upgraded its a pioneer. a tsunami cap fairly nice, and my subs are mtx thunderboxx 8800. the are 1600 w total and 800 rms. i have 2 10's. my amps are nice orions. a 400 w 4 chan , and a 1000 w 2 chan. im happy with it for my 1st system its good. my cav is actually in almost perfect condition. so its not possibe for a bov? im not worried about having a ton of hp i mean come on its a cav. the body looks good but i wanna make it look better. im not going to go and drag it or nothin i just want it lookin fresh. i would like an exhaust but no not a cheap 1 . i have money 2 spend not enough to buy a new car but what should i do. i like streetglow alot.
