im 15 and this is my first car. ive dropped quite a bit of cash on my sound system. i like it it bumps hard as shit. now im wondering about the exterior. what i really want to do is drop a nice exhaust on it , a blow off valuve , and maybe some green street glow. what is your opinion? what are some good brands of exhaust? oo yea i bought rims already havnt put them on yet, so thats out of the way. the only thing is that my car has 119k miles. is this worth the process of doing the exterior? please reply.

One, invest into a good car. Not a piece of shit cavy that barely has 100hp at the wheels.

Two, you can't put a blow off valve on a non turbo car. The BOV releases pressure during shifts and when the throttle plate closes, so you don't damage the engine from excess turbo pressure, do some research.

Three, why do you want to put an exhaust on it? So you SOUND powerful? Wow, that is just pure rice. An exhaust, even if it is a 3" downpipe, straight pipe, and then catback, will net you a MAX of 3-4 whp. Why? Because its a 97 cavalier, it doesn't have an ecotec in it to build up, and is pointless to ty and build up. If you want power, you need a reliable foundation to build on.

Is it worth the process? No, it really isn't. Your going to have a car that looks just as shitty as it runs. Do yourself a favor, and buy a GOOD car to build on.

If you want your car to look and sound like rice, get some rice. In the interim, use the cavlier like a car and save your money for something decent. You have a stereo you like... stop there. If you do change out the exhaust, don't put some cheap sh|t ***-can on it. If you go with a catback, resonators are your friend. And please, for the love of god, don't put some ghey-*** park bench lookin aluminum wing on the da mn thing...

Save your money kid.

personally the only thing id do to a cavalier is sell it cuz i wouldnt drive it...

but...just get some nice coilover's like stated above, some new rims and some new rubber...

Don't do anything to it. You sound like a kid at my work. Dropped a ton of money on his cavalier, now it sounds like shit, looks like shit, rides like shit and he thinks its the greatest thing in the world while everyone else is laughing at him.

keep it stock and reliable... well... as reliable as one of those can be.

yo guys take it easy hes only 15....but anyways id say just stick wt ur system for now, thats what id do...maybe lookin into perfecting it by maybe getting a better enclosure/ big 3/electrical upgrades and all that....rims and neon on a car like that are for ******s
