i felt that with so many people asking for budget diy setups, it was probably adventageous to make a thread dedicated to good diy projects that sound good and let you know if your abilities are up to par. i'll start with a few that I have personally had experience with.

This is a VERY nice design. My neighbor (dude with the avalance 15) built these monitors for his office and when I went over there this afternoon to give him a roll of solder (he buys THE most expensive shit ever...like 30 a roll) and he let me listen to them. very good, and very inexpensive. (difficulty 6/10)

gotta ? for ya lemans...the circuit show on the first page says crossover, and there is a circuit on the second page for a filter...what is the difference? i know what a crossover is, but a filter?
