sue me, its a ford.
Ok i have a sub that makes a loud popping or snapping noise all the time, and its really loud and annoying. The voice coils are not blown, and its still as loud as it was new. Any tips on how to fix this loud rattle? i have a video, and near the end when i pop the trunk, you can hear it.(EDIT putfile is down) Im about to go free air it and see if i can figure it out. THANKS.

it always does it! I have a pair, and only one sub makes the noise, after about 150 watts and up. Its been like this for 2 years, im finally just getting tired of it, and too broke to replace it.

Maybe something moving under the dustcap? Or maybe it's something to do with a tinsel lead. Free air it, you can usually diagnose the problem much quicker:)

x2. much easier this way. could have something to do with the spider landing possibly. so many things dude

Its not the coil, it doesnt rub or anything when i push on it, or at moderate volumes, its only at hi xmax. Im thinking it could be the cone warping, and the dustcap popping.
