Is there any advantage on this vs. a type r ported? Both have the same specs

Wow, I have a 2002 ford mustang non-convertable and I wanted to buy this one 12" and add it to my Mach 1000 system. I guess that isn't possible. Can anybody give me advice on what to do? Thanks

Same specs as the R? Last time I checked the R was rated at 500rms to this at 750.

I would take this over an R and I have owned the R's and they do well, but heard a couple installs with the CVX's and they sounded fantastic!

Oh yeah, my bad! I think I might just buy one of those then. But the only problem is I don't think I can add the sub to my Mach 1000 stereo system! Can an experienced installer chime in about what to do or if you have installed a sub on a mach 1000 system please let me know!

I absolutely love my single 12" CVX. I never knew a single sub setup could be so loud. I'm running my CVX off a Kicker 750.1

Yeah, i'm getting hard thinking about that in my car. But I'm not going to buy it until I can confirm that the sub will work with my mach 1000 stereo system!

Edit: Don't know if the stock system has a HPF on the rear speakers.

Can it be used in conjuction with my Mach 1000 Headunit / Speakers / etc.? The cables are already run as the previous owner had some of his own stuff installed. In the back there is a blue copper wire, a black wire (ground), red wire, and 2 RCAs. Should that be enough?
